About Me
Born in Germany in 1989, Annemarie is a filmmaker driven by adventure, curiosity, and the thrill of storytelling in challenging, high-paced environments. Her international academic journey took her through the United States and the Netherlands, culminating in a Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies and American Studies in 2016.

Annemarie’s professional path quickly led her to global sets and unconventional locations, where she has produced captivating commercials, directed music videos, and crafted impactful case studies. Her work as a producer and director is characterized by a hands-on leadership style, empowering her teams while filming in extraordinary conditions—from the fiery edges of active volcanoes in Ethiopia and icy expanses in Sweden to Iceland’s stunning waterfalls and the diverse terrains of Tanzania, Zanzibar, and Namibia.

With a strong foundation in feature films and television series, Annemarie stepped into an intensive collaboration with director Adolfo J. Kolmerer in 2021. She took on substantial responsibilities as his Personal Assistant and quickly advanced into creative directing roles, including 2nd Unit Director for two seasons of the mystery series "Oderbruch," and the Amazon Prime Original Feature "Der Heimweg," adapted from Sebastian Fitzek’s bestselling novel.
Additionally, she directed substantial second unit and aerial sequences for ARD's "Die Tote vom Jakobsweg" collaborating with acclaimed actors Michael Epp, Mercedes Müller, and Dirk Borchardt.

Currently, Annemarie is channeling her unique creative vision into her directorial fiction debut, co-developing with screenwriters Julian Schäfer and Madeleine Hartung, while wrapping up the post production for a syrreal short film she directed in March 2025 starring Karoline Schuch.

Annemarie works fluently in English and German.
